Provider: Hairloom is operated by its developer, called
"we" or "us" in these terms.
Contact: favamvv@gmail.com
— the only channel we use. Questions, complaints and claims about Hairloom go
there.
Governing law: The laws of Poland. If you are a consumer you
also keep the mandatory protections of the law where you live, and you may
bring proceedings in the courts of the country you live in.
By using Hairloom you agree to these terms, to the Licence Agreement and to the Privacy Policy. Together they are the whole agreement between you and us about Hairloom. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Hairloom provides cosmetic appearance analysis, not medical advice. For hair loss concerns, see a dermatologist. It is not a medical device and not medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Never delay seeking professional advice because of something the app told you.
Hairloom looks at photographs of your hair and scalp and describes how they appear — density, breakage, frizz, shine and so on — then builds a routine around what it saw and what you told us in the quiz. It is a cosmetic tool.
Hairloom is for adults. By using it you confirm you are at least 18. The app asks your age range before anything else, and answering "under 18" ends there.
You keep ownership of the photographs you upload and of the reports generated from them.
You give us permission to do one thing with your photographs: process them so we can produce your own report and routine and show them back to you. In practice that means storing them in a folder only your account can read, sending them to our analysis provider to be read, and keeping them so the app can show you a before/after over time. The permission is limited to running the service for you, it is not exclusive, and it ends when you delete the content or your account.
To be explicit about what we do not take. We do not use your photographs for marketing, advertising or promotion. We do not use them to train any model of ours, and under the terms covering our paid use of the analysis provider's API, it does not use them to train its models either. We do not publish them and we do not show them to other users. If you make a share card and post it, that is you publishing your own image, not us.
You are responsible for what you upload. Photograph yourself. Do not upload photographs of anyone who has not agreed to it, of anyone under 18, or anything unlawful.
Hairloom is free to download, and the hair analysis is a paid feature. You can install the app, answer the quiz and look around without paying, but producing a report from your photographs needs Hairloom Pro, an auto-renewing subscription. Pro covers the scan itself and all eight readings, your twelve-week protocol, weekly re-scans with the before/after comparison, and the product checker.
Prices above are in US dollars. You pay in your own currency, at the price the App Store or Google Play shows you on the purchase screen before you confirm — that price, and the renewal price shown next to it, are the ones that govern. There is no free trial.
Apple and Google take the payment, so a refund starts with them.
Either way, tell us too. We will help you make the request.
You have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract for digital content, without giving a reason. Your report is generated for you immediately, which is a situation where that right can be given up — but only if you were asked to agree to immediate supply and told you were giving the right up. We do not currently ask you that, so we do not treat the right as given up. If you bought within the last 14 days and want to withdraw, email favamvv@gmail.com; we will put the request to the store and honour it.
Separately, for as long as you subscribe you are entitled to digital content that matches what we described and that works as content of this kind normally does. If it does not, you can require us to fix it and, if we cannot, to a price reduction or to end the contract. Nothing in these terms limits that.
Every analysis costs us real money to run, so it is rate-limited per account:
We may change these limits. If we lower them on a plan you are paying for, we will tell you first and you can cancel.
Do not reverse-engineer, scrape, resell or overload the service, use it or its output to build or train a competing model, or work around these limits.
Hairloom suggests ingredient types, and sometimes links out to a shop. Some of those links earn us a commission if you buy. It never changes what we recommend, and the screen where the links appear says so. We do not sell or stock the products; the shop you buy from is who you are contracting with, on their terms, with their delivery and their returns. Read the ingredient list yourself and patch-test anything new.
Your report is produced by an automated model. It can be wrong, it can be inconsistent between scans, and it is affected by lighting, focus and angle. We clamp how far a score can move between scans so a bad photograph cannot invent a dramatic change, and the model is instructed to refuse a photo it cannot read honestly rather than guess.
Automated output is an opinion about how something looks in a photograph. It is not a measurement, not a professional assessment, and not a substitute for a qualified professional.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss that was not a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid for Hairloom in the 12 months before the claim, or €100. Money that reached us through Apple or Google still counts as paid to us.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for anything we did deliberately or with gross negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
If you are a consumer, none of this touches your statutory rights — including your right to digital content that conforms to what we described, and your remedies if it does not. We do not exclude those.
You can stop at any time. Delete your account in Me → Account & data → Delete account & everything in it. That erases your photos, scans, routine and history permanently. It does not cancel your subscription — cancel that in the App Store or Google Play as well, or you will keep being charged.
We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms or if the law requires it. Unless a serious breach or the law makes it impossible, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to put it right. If we end your access and you have not breached these terms, we will refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.
We may update these terms — to describe a new feature, to follow a new law, or to fix something that was wrong. If a change matters to you we will tell you in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect, and the date at the top will change.
If you do not want the new terms, stop using Hairloom and cancel your subscription in the App Store or Google Play before the change takes effect. We will not apply a change backwards to a period you have already paid for.
Email favamvv@gmail.com and we will reply within 14 days. If we cannot settle it between us and you are a consumer, you can use the out-of-court dispute resolution scheme available where you live — your national consumer authority will tell you which one. The EU's online dispute resolution platform closed in July 2025 and is no longer an option.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Not enforcing something once does not mean we have given it up.
