Your data

Delete your account

You can erase everything yourself, from inside the app, in about ten seconds. You do not need to email us or wait for us to approve it.

In the app

  1. Open Hairloom.
  2. Go to Me (bottom right).
  3. Tap Account & data.
  4. Tap Delete account & everything in it and confirm.

What gets deleted

This is permanent. Your account and everything in it are removed from our servers as soon as the deletion runs — normally within a minute, and in every case within 24 hours. When it finishes it re-reads both the database and file storage to check nothing survived, and retries if anything did. There is no recovery period and no way for us to restore it.

Cancel your subscription separately. Deleting your account does not stop billing, because Apple and Google — not us — hold the subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Play Store account settings first, or you will keep being charged. See Support for the exact steps.

If you have already removed the app

Then the data is already beyond reach — yours and ours. Hairloom has no sign-in: the account is a random identifier held on that install and nowhere else, so uninstalling takes the only key to it with it. Reinstalling gives you a new, empty account rather than the old one.

What that means in practice: the old data is orphaned. It is not linked to your name, your email or anything else you could prove, so we cannot find it for you — there is nothing to search by. It is unreadable to us as well, and it is never shown to anyone. If you would still like it removed, email favamvv@gmail.com and tell us roughly when you used the app, and we will do what we can.

This is why the app asks you to delete the account before you delete the app, and why it is worth doing in that order.
